Ballynasollus Cottage is centrally located in the heart of the Sperrins AONB, making it an ideal base for exploring some of the Island of Ireland’s most stunning natural attractions. This natural wonder, located at the foot of the basalt cliffs along the sea coast on the edge of the Antrim plateau, comprises approximately 40,000 massive black basalt columns jutting out into the sea. The dramatic landscape has inspired legends of giants striding across the sea to Scotland. Geological studies over the past 300 years have shown that this unique formation was caused by volcanic activity during the Tertiary period, around 50-60 million years ago. Occupation Times
Guests can arrive from 3pm unless otherwise agreed on the commencement date of the booking and terminate at 11am on the leaving date to allow for full cleaning and checking of the house and contents prior to guests arrival. Guests are welcome to leave their luggage and food if they arrive earlier and the house is not ready for them.
